Nadia – Office Manager
Hi, I’m Nadia Gutierrez and I am originally from Managua, Nicaragua. My family moved to the US when I was 8 to join their other family members already living here. I lived in Florida for almost a year before moving to Portland, where I have been living ever since. I graduated in December of 2002 from Portland State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish.
I recently joined Justus Orthodontics as their front office coordinator. I appreciate the opportunity that I have been given to explore and learn about this field and expand on my own Spanish-speaking skills. I’m excited to learn more each and every day and expand my current knowledge base. Dr. Justus and her dental assistants are very supportive and caring and make it a fun place to work. Outside of work, I love reading, going to the movies, dancing, hanging out with my friends, and spending time with my amazing family.
Karin – Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Karin Ormachea. I am originally from Peru and I have been an orthodontic assistant for 11 years. I have lived in New Jersey, Miami and moved to Portland in 2006. It was truly my destiny to work at Justus Orthodontics. Dr. Justus had been invited to give a lecture in Peru at an orthodontic conference. She met my previous employer, a renowned orthodontist in Peru. It so happened, that Dr. Justus was in the process of opening her new practice and my previous boss told her about me! So the world is very small after all!
Working at Justus Orthodontics is fun and it is a great environment to work in. We have a number of bilingual patients with whom I get to speak my native tongue which is Spanish. My co-workers, who are also my friends, make going to work every day very enjoyable. I am married and I am very family-oriented. I love spending time with my family and friends, and also enjoy cooking and dancing.
Rae – Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Aloha, my name is RaeMarie Leano, but I go by “Rae”. I am originally from Maui, Hawaii, and I’ve been living in Oregon since 1999. I graduated with honors from Concorde Career Institute in 2005. I smile a lot, therefore I enjoy working in the dental field. I am bi-lingual, but only in Filipino and some Hawaiian. Working at Justus Orthodontics not only enhances my ability to grow in the orthodontic field, but it also gives me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful patients and help them have beautiful smiles. I most definitely love working for Dr. Justus and with the girls. I am married and have two children whom I love dearly. I enjoy eating and spending time with my family and friends. I miss surfing, boogie boarding and just hanging out on the beach.
